Xbox 360 – Live Your Moment
5 April 2009 by SilkyWhenever I see the “Live Your Moment” adverts for the Xbox 360 – that are presumably supposed to show that the Xbox experience is so engaging that it’s like it’s actually happening in your brain (although I’m not sure where else Microsoft think we have experiences) – I can’t help but think:
“Play the Xbox 360 – Like Having a Lobotomy!”
Surely these adverts just plays into the hands of the “Games consoles turn you into cabbages” brigade?

Glad I’m not the only one that thinks that. Definite signs of lobotomy, the vacant stare, the lurid village idiot grin, the drool dripping from their flaccid tongues…..

It’s bizarre, but watching this ad makes me feel sick! The REALLY slow motion turns my tummy. There was a Yellow Pages ad that was the same.
Off topic I know, but worth mentioning…

thank god I’m not alone. Especially the one with the woman who looks like she belongs in the F.A.S.T. stroke ads. Funny I did a survey for them asking about these ads, they didn’t give me a chance to comment on my overall thoughts, but I was less than complementary anyway lol. I was wondering at the time though why they were only asking for public reaction after they had aired the ads. But then I think we are talking about people who probably look a lot like the lobotomised zombies in their ads anyway.

Is it me, or does she look like she’s just been to Paul’s house?

Not to mention the Xbox 360 is shit…
You know the original Xbox was only created because Microsoft didn’t like the idea of Sony being the leader of the games market?
PS3 all the way for me.

I have some harrowing news. Expect more like this. Both Sony and Microsoft are now focusing their advertising on the Europe area, as the console war has been decided in America and Far East ( Microsoft 1- 1 Sony ) we are the tie break. Due to a longer than expected life cycle for the current gaming hardware, which has been fuelled by the power of the consoles and the global economic downturn, the advertising will be especially fierce. The money doesn’t come from the consoles, surprisingly enough, but from the game developers and publishers, who have to pay to release a game on the consoles. So if you have a larger market share of the gamers, you will make more money in licencing. Microsoft are going to concentrate on the quality of the online community and movie download capability, Sony will use the Blu ray player and larger capacity games. Think of the opportunities we are going to be getting….

I get prescribed meds that make me look like that. I aint shelling out on a box of plastic and wires to look like I’ve popped a couple of lorazepam.

Me and the missus are heading to a cabin in the woods this weekend for some “uninterrupted fun.”
I’m not buying a word she says. I mean, c’mon – how the fuck will I connect to xbox live?

Notice that there’s never any Halo 3 going on inside that mind. Shameful.
