Worst TV Advert 2008 as Voted by You!
28 December 2008 by SilkySo here it is, the winner of the Worst Advert of 2008 vote – the DFS Nickleback advert:
As a testament to how much you hated this handful of advertising monkey crap that DFS threw at us in 2008, it received a massive amount of the vote: nearly twice as much as the Slim Fast advert in second place.
So many congratulations to DFS for their success and a big thanks to all those who voted.

1. The actors are banal, uninspiring, uncool and plucked straight out of deepest, darkest Middle England.
2. The music is abysmal. Nickelback have provided nothing to music except for tumourous blemish. The use of their ‘music’ is selfdestructive.
3. There is always a sale on at DFS and they are running out of ideas to advertise their sofas.
4. No-one will fancy being associated with a company who makes evidently dreadful adverts.
5. DFS are at the end of the sofa food chain.

OK, so it’s a bad advert.
But why was it banned? It didn’t look that offensive to me.
