I LOVE THIS ADVERT SOOOOOO MUCH, BEING A WOMAN DOES IT BOTHER ME NOT A BIT . IT IS MY FAVOURITE ADVERT EVER I HAVE EVEN GOT ONE OF THE VIRGIN ALANTIC AIR HOSTESS SUIT. respect to ‘macpedro’ (first post at top) virgin should have done a better job on this ad. apart from being a totally annoying advert it is factually incorrect. the first ever mobile phone call wasnt actually made until 1985 and they have a geezer on a mobile at the start were it states 22nd June 1984 ! whats all that about?

likewise Gatwick was the operating airport not Heathrow as is represented in the ad.

Mmm, to be honest I think people need to take a chill pill? Stick an attractive female on the TV and suddenly it’s sexist and viewing women as objects! The ad is a bit of fun, and is meant to represent the company’s fun and slightly tongue-in-cheek attitudes. It’s meant to show a breath of fresh air and light-heartedness in an otherwise dingy, drab world.

In fact I know lots of crew who wear high-heels until their in the air then change into flats.

This just seems fairly indicative of the wingeing, complaining, litigious culture that ‘modern’ Britain is becoming synonymous with…look the whole Jonathon Ross saga! I’m surprised that every ounce of creativity hasn’t already been snubbed out by this ridiculously stifling attitude.

Perhaps we should all stop being offended so easily just because certain newspapers tell us we ought. Come on, Brits are made of thicker skin than this.

I suppose, in the eyes of the advertisers, most people who’ve written on the forum belong on the drab, gray side of the picture!
