Vauxhall - Meriva and Zafira - Clever Family Cars

Oh yes! The Boys are back in town - or back at the beach at least.

As this advert seems to be on at least twice every ad break, I’m sure you’ve seen it.

But just in case you haven’t here’s an overview.It’s the classic TV advert set-up - Johnny Vegas’ kids are on holiday, they’ve brought their parents, they’re pretending to be patronising old fuckers, they fall asleep. Magic.

Maybe you could say this advert’s pretty poor because it says very little about the cars (other than families can fit stuff in them) but what I hate most is the way they’ve pushed the kids to behave like adults. Why can’t we just let kids be kids?

“Ooh look at those two pretending to be all grown up. Isn’t it cute?”

Give me a break.

And give them a chance to be kids and enjoy life before they actually have to worry about whether someone’s had “too many fizzy drinks”.

Velvet have got it right. A kid in an adult environment but behaving like a kid. It’s playful and endearing not patronising and nauseating.

good lord man the velvet add is worse than that one, the baby in the suit makes me want to vomit.

But yes, the fat children in this advert need to cut down on their own fizzy drinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, maybe it’s because I have a young son that I see it that way… I don’t know… I just thought it was adorable.

Joanna please tell me why you seem to be so anti fat? You called the girl off the Halifax ad practically not fit to burn and now you say the kids on the Vauxhall ad are fat children - well that’s as maybe but what have they done to you?

They stole the lil kids lives. Also how the crap is the car clever all it’s done has made two kids into lazy kids, not clever if you ask me.

Believe it or not, I went to school with the older one. He was a right cunt. Fucking always bragging about his stupid adverts. This is what he got from doing two adverts:

A Zafira for his family
A trip to Florida Disneyland all expenses paid
5000 pounds spending money

It sounds like fucking Family Fortunes!

Joanna yeah, CathK seems to be defending fat lasses quite a lot, so I’d guess she is too. Why else would you get so worked up about it?

Joanna and Crimewave - you are a bit slow possibly? I am defending fat people in general yes - why does this mean I must be fat? I am a dog lover but I am not a dog? Low intelligence the two of you it seems - I am not actually getting worked up about it thanks very much Crimewave but thanks awfully for your concern there - much appreciated my sweet! Anyway - we are totally digressing from the point of this website darlings me thinks so hey - let’s drop the fatty thinny arguments. Me not fat me just fookin bored of dimwhits.
