Mazda 2 – Don’t Upset the Rythme
4 January 2009 by SilkyHere’s the new advert for the Mazda 2:
Now to the untrained eye that might seem like the video to the White Stripes’ 7 Nation Army.
But it’s not.
It’s categorically and most definitely not.
Update
Here’s the actual ad for the Mazda 2 – I think we can all see where the confusion lies though:

Love the sarcasm…
But lets be fair, it’s a damn site better than the last Mazda 2 ad.
The style works well and its quite visually interesting.

Weird, I always thought the 7 nation Army promo was an ad for Renault…

i loved both of them and i am an huge fan of
these stylish car adverts i think that they are
the best advertising on tv that people would
love to dream of owning these groovy cars
me personaly the both adverts are equalie
good and as i allways say never judge a
book by its cover or a car by the size of it’s engine
and they are the pure genuine article 20/10

One point where car adverts really irritate. The UK market is apparently so insignificant that we’re not worthy of our own version of them. The cars shown are invariably left-hand drive, and seen driving on the right. Perhaps we should be grateful they have even bothered to over dub the audio tracks in English.

What is the name of the song in this advert?

@REKrishna
Normally they just flip the image, hence most ads have car regestrations that work when flipped horizontally. (with all T, O, I, M, Y, W, A, H, X, U, V, 1, 2, 5, 8, 0)

Who cares. The advert isnt bad. Why not spend a little time criticizing adverts that really suck like car insurance or lawyers adverts. Coz they do suck

They can sue you, see
http://www.allianceagainstiptheft.co.uk/
The effort of creating a distinct idea was shamlessly lifted from them. Did Mazda help The White Stripes when they were getting started? Did they give them a car? Did they take their bread and butter? In entertainment image is everything. If you steal someones image, sound, ideas, you steal the way they make a living, I don’t even like the White Stripes, but everyone has the right to earn a living. That reminds me, I think I’ll create a website about how naff some TV ads are, I might call it Worst Adverts on Television…..
