Obviously DFS thought they would cheap out and not use an advertising agency and do it themselves. You can tell some middle-aged-trying-to-get-down-with-the-kids smarmy sofa selling twat who knows nothing about advertising heard Nickelback’s SHITTY song on some SHITTY radio station and thought he knew best. I would love to drop one of their fucking sofas on them from a great hight.

Sorry, but I just needed to get my frustration out. I feel better now.

A|nd what’s worse is that I spent two grand on a sofa from DFS a few weeks ago. If I’d known this advert was by them, I wouldn’t have gone anywhere fucking near the place.

I can’t actually believe someone has managed to create something this bad. They’ve mixed some of the most shockingly cringy dancing with one of the worst bands to ever grace our planet, then put an annoying American voice-over on it. To top it off they didn’t even bother to lip sync it properly, how hard can it be to edit it so the miming is in sync?

It is obviously meant to be cheesy but the cringe must be unintended because I don’t believe anyone could intentionally make something this overwhelmingly cringeworthy, it makes David Brent seem normal!

This is definately the worst ad campaign i have ever seen! and that’s saying something considering that the Halifax and Sheilas Wheels are out there. I really don’t think these adds will bolster DFS’s sales to be honest, if a decade of sales that end “next Monday” don’t do it nothing will!!!!

As to the vote, both ads are as bad as each other in my opinoin although the bald guy at the end of the first ad does make me want to go to dfs just to throw up all over one of those lovely sofas and his face for that matter, i think he must of taught blazing squad their choreography!

Watching these clips have just made me really angry all over again.

Here’s my opinion. It’s meant to be crap and cheesy so that people talk about it. I doubt DFS take it as seriously. It’s seriously awful, but I guess it’s intentional. I don’t know if it works or not and whether they actually sell any sofas, that’s another point altogether. Can’t believe that anyone wrote a song as kak as that one though, I mean ffs! I would like to see Dream Evil’s Heavy Metal Jesus featuring in the next one.

These days there are very few things I’m embarrassed to watch in front of my parents, but this and that erectile dysfunction one still make me want to die. And if anyone has seen me in Yates’ on a Saturday night they know that very few things make me want to die of embarrassment.
