Crusha Milkshake – Gym Kittens
13 April 2008 by SilkyI really can’t decide if there’s some charmingly ironic shitness to this animated LOL Cats horror show of an advert or whether it is, in fact, just shit.
There’s undoubtedly something that puts a little grin on my face when it comes on but, crickey, the demonic voice on the jingle and the mad staring eyes of the cats topped off with a lovely little feline threat at the end is just plain creepy.
Who knows what this is all about?
I certainly don’t but then maybe I’ve just gotten too old for this kind of thing.
Now, where’s my Ovaltine?

In your justification of this advert you used “ironic shitness” in its defence and “just shit” in your condemnation.
I have two points to make:
1. You are spending too much time around nappies and
2. You are limiting us, the respondents, with defecation adjectives

The campaign is a reference to rathergood.com specifically the music leans towards the animation they did for the Elbow version of Destiny’s Child’s Independent Women

I think the people behind the campaign have asked Joel Veitch to work with them on the ads. I’m not too sure but the fact the site has kittens in the gym as their latest entry would suggest they do.

You seem to have misunderstood-this is simply a good natured advert for an essentially kid-targeted product. As such, it is perfect-good fun and a refreshing change from the usual stuff. well done to crusha!! A great advert from a talented team.

I hate 95% of adverts on TV, but I do like this one. Perhaps it’s because I like Joel Veitch’s work, or perhaps because I like kittens. Maybe it’s because I remember Crusha from when I was a kid.
Either way, anthropomorphic kitten singing in a gym? Fantastic.

hello everyone and just to let you know if you like the crusha adds you are amazing people however if you hate them like the it boy calum your just sad people who hate having a laugh calum you need to grow up its a cartoon its not real life and pluss i think that the crusha adds are amazing and im so happy that there are new ones now they are GREAT!!!!!!!!!! keep them comming crusha corp. I LOVE THEM !!!!!! they are my favorite adds of all time !!!

surely the face that it is focused at appealing to children (which animated characters doing something un-related usualy does appeal to them…) means that most people our age wont find it makes us want the product?
