Is there another, unseen, ad where Peter Jones is sitting on the phone utterly naffed off having spent five days and numerous hours being passed from idiot to imbecile in BT’s fault department, from Scotland to Bombay to China, having to repeat himself over and over again, calling BT “a bunch of useless fucking wankers?”

piflover: Did you just really say you like the song? Really? Like, honestly just say that you like the song? Really? Really? How is this possible? How? How can you like something with absolutely no redeeming features? The holocaust was one of the most horrific events in world history, but at least Hitler had the decency to don an amusing moustache whilst carrying it out, and at least it provided a technological advancement in the field of stealthy showers. This song does neither! This song is perhaps worse than the cringe worthy shitfucks that appear in the advert itself!

Well here’s another find advert to stir the loins of many a gary glitter fan thats for sure….Daddy get this on your hair and then you can find a right little slut to pull you off instead of doing your daughters twice weekly…..has this guy been investigated by the pedo squad..and have they checked his computer hard drive for photos of the girls rubbing just for men into his rather grey pubic hair let alone his bonce…on the mummy front she ended up being the fertilizer for the kids little garden and no one asks daddy why he has a skull for a pen holder on his desk do they…..see you all real soon……

For people who suffer eye disabilities, this ad is really offensive. I echo Hugh’s comments - children who suffer with squints / lazy eyes will find it upsetting, and it gives bullies more material. I think it’s sloppy advertising, lacks creativity, and Lynx and their agency should be ashamed of themselves.

Didn’t the Adam actor have an ‘accident’ down tha in the west country? Someone evidently had it in for him….he’s an ACTOR for heaven’s sake (said in a Brian Conley voice a la “it’s a puppet” catch phrase). Must admit however that BT are scraping the barrel with this ad tho.

I completely disagree. I think this is a fantastic advert.

I don’t think men deserve a medal for doing their fair share of childcare. It absolutely should be what is expected of every dad. But the reality is that, even in this day and age, it often doesn’t happen. It’s a vicious cycle of fatherhood being undervalued (involved dads still being seen as unmanly or henpecked), and men undervaluing their own roles as fathers and just generally bottling it. This isn’t helped by consistently negative portrayals of fatherhood in films and TV. So it’s really nice to see an advert like this that actually portrays fatherhood in a positive, yet realistic light.

Promises are a start, Bex. Many men can’t even manage that. And some men do keep their promises, there’s no need to be completely nihilistic about it!
