Only a couple of months late in joining the fun but here goes…..

Hardcore is dead. Easygroove and Lisa et al were the last to bring us the real sound of what was a great era in dance music back in 94, at the latest. After this, knobs like Scooter ruined it for everyone. And probably a good thing too.

As for this advert, the whole point of this debate, come on… It’s shit. The VoiceOver, well, she annoys me so much I have to restrain my urge to send my remote flying into the screen. Sounds like Sara Cawood on helium trying to find the lost tampax she’d shoved in a week earlier.

Not all of us are drug addicts. Just because we like repetative music, flashing lights and stuff like that doesnt make us scum. I have my own family and support the scene as much as possible. Im not saying that this ad is the best ad ever, because it definatly is not, however, why some of you people continue to slag us hardcore people off is beyond me. Hardcore is a passion for people like me, and its all about the music… always has been, and always will be.

Just remember, before you start to slag us all off, we are people too. However, in all fairness, most of us ravers really dont give a rats ass what you think of us. We are one family under the lasers, just leave us be and let us all enjoy ourselves.

What a website full of complete muppets. The site is called “TVs Worst Adverts” yet an argument about music genres has come up? For the record, I love hardcore, and I’m quite sure that anyone that has ever been to a hardcore event loves it, it’s hard not to. It’s all about fun, having a good time and boppin’ around with your mates, if your allergic to fun then don’t listen to it? And what has drugs got to do with anything? You go to a dance festival, you get people on drugs, you go to a rock festival, beleive it or not .. you get people on drugs. Drugs are bigger than just hardcore, do your research.
