Bugger, I’m not ‘with it’ enough to have a clue what you’re both talking about. I’m truly past it.

  • Said on the 18 April 2008

    Cheeky buggers! Can’t believe it.
So shocked – its Boosh and Sugar Puffs all over again

  • Said on the 18 April 2008

Oddly, I quite like this advert, but I wouldn’t buy the product.

Living on the Ceiling, Blancmange, 1982, No 7 UK chart.

Whoosh; the rest is over my head. What am I missing?

This music video came out ages ago:

Advertising companies must be running out of ideas, this is at least the third shameless rip-off this year.

    Cheers for the link, Gina.

I’m speechless, I really am, Trish Sie and OK Go could sue for that one surely. It’s sugar puffs all over again. Isn’t there an ounce of creativity in ad land any more?

And for the oldies – here’s the original…and best

It’s Saturday night and I’m in the mood for arguing.

I’ve now researched this video and I can honestly say that the Berocca version is far superior to OK Go’s ess one.

    Discuss.

  • Said on the 20 April 2008

I loved the advert but it’s the music that makes it. I bought that record when it was first released but can’t for the life of me remember what I did with it ;o(

Remind me, what product are they advertising???????

  • Said on the 21 April 2008

    Hey Sonya,

According to TV Ad Music (and, more importantly, Mike Empuria) it’s “Blancmange – Living On The Ceiling”.

As for the product, I think it’s some kind of amphetamines.

Plaugurism (sp?) is frowned upon at my Uni. Seems to be rewarded in the advertising world. Ok Go, Sue, Sue Nowwww

  • Said on the 23 April 2008

Oddly I quite like this – even the strapline. Maybe it’s the memories of the lead singer’s barnet that are doing it…

  • Said on the 23 April 2008

The orignal video is better if you watch it with the sound off, or even with Living On The Ceiling – then it becomes much, MUCH better than this rip off!

  • Said on the 25 April 2008

I really like it! Does that make me a wrong ‘un?

  • Said on the 1 May 2008

Perhaps the next advert in this series should an anti-drug campaign. “You but on a BAD day, a really very very BAD day indeed”

  • Said on the 10 May 2008

Love that song…..ignored the advert completely

  • Said on the 30 May 2008

Great piece of music, from an era when music was music. Good advert showing varying age groups combining. Then we have the “TOSSERS” slagging it of with their foul language. Suppose it takes all sorts.

  • Said on the 15 August 2008

this advert is AWFUL. everything about it. SUCKS.

you. but on a good day.

Oh shut up. That could advertise haemmorhoid cream for all I care.

    stupid. stupid. stupid.

I hate this advert, the fact they ripped off the Okay Go video, the terrible music, and the smug bald twat in the advert.
